Dione A is a main sequence yellow dwarf, similar to [[wikipedia:Earth|Sol]] in mass, radius and temperature. It carries 1.02 solar masses and radiates at 1.05 solar luminosities, with a surface temperature near 5780 K. It is estimated to be around 4.1 gigayears old, placing it in the middle of its lifetime. Dione A is expected to last another 6 gigayears. The star hosts both of the system's inners worlds.
