Devils

The Devil are an artificial race, created by the Mortals to serve as war machines. They are characterized by their great Magic-resistance, which is the highest among mortal creatures. This results in a constant hunger, leading to a dangerous, potentially cannibalistic state if not enough food is consumed.

The devil's mind gets overpowered by it's body which will eat any living being in sight to restore energy, turning it into a mindless yet powerful creature. For war purposes, scientists created a state, which balances mind and power during the hunger state almost evenly. After the Great war, the devil were no longer needed and people began to fear their hunger. The devil, now cast out by people, came close to extinction. Nowadays, the devil are a rare sight, usually found somewhere far from civilization.

Appearance

Devils can be divided into two sub-races, the red devil and the black devil. Despite being very similar to each other, the black devil has up to three times as much power as the red devil and can reach about double their height, but has a shorter lifespan. Because black devils have an even higher Magic-resistance than red devils, their state of hunger is greater.

Both devil races share a pair of horns on their had, however, in contrast to other Koma species, without a tail and wings.
