Devils

The devil is an artificial race, creates by the Mortals to serve as a war machine. They are characterized by their great Magic-resistance which is on the highest level amongst the mortal creatures. This results into a constant hunger which can lead to a dangerous, potentially cannibalistic state if not enough food is consumed. The devil's mind gets overpowered by it's body which will eat any living being in sight to restore energy, turning it into a mindless yet powerful creature. For war purposes, scientists found a new state which balances mind and power during the hunger state almost evenly. After the Great war, the devil was no longer needed and people began to fear their hunger. The devil, now cast out by people, came close to extinction. Nowadays, the devil is a rare sight, usually found somewhere far from civilisation.

Devils are to be divided into two subraces, the red devil and the black devil. As they both are very similar to each other, the black devil has up to three times as much power as the red devil, can reach about double their height but has a shorter lifespan. As black devils have an even higher Magic-resistance than the red devil, their state of hunger is even worse which leads them to be almost extinct.

External features: Both subraces of the devil have a pair of horns yet other than other Koma species, they have no tail and no wings.
